     A joint effort of the Oklahoma Department of Commerce, Oklahoma Employment Security Commission, and Governor's Council on Workforce and Economic Development produced a series of analyses of the 2004 employment in the ten largest employing industries for 12 regions covering the entire state of Oklahoma.

Local Area Labor Force Studies
   A joint effort of the Oklahoma Department of Commerce, the University of Oklahoma’s Public Opinion Learning Laboratory, and community economic development organizations across the state, this series of local area labor force studies provides a variety of statistics and analysis about Oklahoma’s workforce, including:

  • Profile of local labor force;
  • Numbers of the underemployed;
  • Commuting patterns;
  • Willingness to change employers;
  • Educational levels of Oklahoma’s labor pool.

  The 2001 series of Local Area Labor Force Studies analyze the availability of labor in local areas with particular focus given to identifying and profiling the underemployed. Communities of all sizes—including Altus, Claremore, Lawton, Muskogee, Norman, Oklahoma City, Pryor, and Tulsa—are profiled within the report series available at the Center for Economic and Management Research at OU.
